Mario Kart Tour is getting ready for Halloween with its next tour. As laid out in a recent roadmap, the Halloween Tour kicks off on 18th October with spooky costumes, a Dry Bones suit for your Mii, and a new classic course in Mario Kart Super Circuit's GBA Boo Lake.
GBA Boo Lake hasn't been seen in another Mario Kart game since its debut, so this is a pretty interesting update! And, a new battle course is also coming to the game with the next tour — Mario Kart DS' Twilight House. The new contents drop at 10pm PT on 18th October, or 6am BST / 3pm AEST on 19th October.
Nowadays, the introduction of a new course gets people excited about what's coming in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass. Wave 3 is due out this Holiday season, and GBA Boo Lake is now in the running.
We'd usually not try and overthink this, but this course was one of the many that were found in a datamine back in August, which was correct about both Merry Mountains and Peach Gardens. GBA Boo Lake is apparently meant to be in the same cup as Peach Gardens too, so we may well be seeing it on the Switch in the next few months too.
What do you think of GBA Boo Lake? Are you happy to see it returning? Let us know in the comments!

Tour is the game that I have no interest in ever playing after trying it a few times, but I'm so jealous of its constant updates.
The Mario kart 8 dlc drip feed is annoying me to no end.
Would love to see some Halloween stuff added to Mario Kart 8. As it stands the only way I can get something Halloween-y out of it is by playing as King Boo
Wouldn't mind paying extra on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe just to get those costumes Tour has.
Mario Kart: Super Circuit is one of those games I wanted to like, but I can't, I keep coming back to that game and I keep disliking the controls, I don't know if it's my fault for not playing the game properly.
But the game has a lot of good content, I love when the tracks and the soundtrack comes back, and yes, like usual, the composers did a great job, but the GBA soundchip is not good enough so it's good to see more GBA tracks getting remixed.
Bring it all to MK8, apart from Luigi mansion track we need something a bit scary and different.
Looks a little bland, to be honest. I hope it has a big graphical update in the Deluxe version. The apparent addition of an underwater section is pretty cool, though. I don't know if it'll make it as good as Banshee Boardwalk, but we'll see.
It's nice how much attention Super Circuit is getting nowadays, if you look at GBA retro tracks in each game it was getting less attention as time went on:
But in the past 3 years there's been:
I really like the design of the course though the Mii Racing Suits trailer does make me a bit concerned about potential simplifications like Sky Garden.
@victordamazio It's my fav, MK and I've 3 Stared everything after much effort (on a Gameboy Micro!). Controls are unusual in feel, and take some adjusting to, but they are not bad controls.
@Grumblevolcano It looks more like Snow Land in 8 Deluxe, where there are a few small tweaks and the shortcuts appear to have been cut, but the original layout is largely followed. Plus, the underwater section, the Fish Bones, the elevation changes, and what might be a new alternate path all add up to make the first Tour remake that feels more like an 8 Deluxe one since...probably Choco Mountain
So it looks like Boo Lake is our Wave 3 spooky track from Super Circuit. I'm glad there is more use of elevation and underwater. Looking forward to playing it in 8 Deluxe this holiday.
I remember that one from mario kart DS
One quick thing; trying to avoid leaks so having the contents of one mentioned without warning is a little disheartening.
That being said, I’d totally be down for Boo Lake making the cut in the booster pass
@victordamazio its my least fav, bad controls and 3 stars is a huge pain
too hyped for this tour
